I grew up in Franklin and know most of the people that come into the bank on a personal level. I graduated from Cedar Mountain in 2002 and went to college in Mankato. I switched majors my second year, going from Speech Pathology to Elementary Education. I graduated from Minnesota State University - Mankato with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. After college, I moved back to Franklin and taught at the Tri-Valley head start program in Sleepy Eye. I went on to teach preschool at New Horizon Academy in Morton before coming to Franklin State Bank in 2011.
In 2017, I bought a house in Franklin and enjoy remodeling and updating it with my dad. During the summers I like to golf and took on the role of organizing the Franklin Classic with a few friends. We spend a lot of time organizing a fun tournament for current and past Franklin residents every June. I also help with "Kiss the Catfish '' which is a contest in which three selected individuals in the community campaign to raise money. The candidate that raises the most funds must "Kiss the Catfish'' Saturday night of Catfish Derby Days. All of the funds raised during the campaign go to the winner’s choice to improve or develop Franklin. I enjoy helping people and love working in such a great community.
